How do I renew a policy with Tesco Car Insurance?

If your policy is set to be renewed automatically, you will receive notice of the renewal including any changes that may be applicable to your particular policy, 21 days before it’s renewed. As Tesco’s is always looking for the best deal for it’s customers, you might find that you are insured through a different insurer.

If you don’t have automated renewal, you’ll still be sent the information pack, but you will need to call the Tesco Car Insurance telephone number listed here and speak to an agent.

Where is my “no claims”?

This is in the renewal pack that was sent to you when your policy ended or in the cancellation letter you were sent. If you don’t have this, contact Tesco Car Insurance customer services and request for a copy to be sent out.

Can I change a named driver on my policy?

Yes you can. You can have up to four drivers on your policy and you will be able to specify if they are permanent or temporary (28 / 30 days) additions.

Tesco Car Insurance is a division of Tesco Bank, a finance and insurance provider that was formed in 1997 as a joint venture between The Royal Bank of Scotland and Tesco. Tesco acquired the RBS shareholding and became the sole owner of the bank in 2008.
