Why is my bill higher than usual?
You may be paying more than you should, but you need to consider a few of the usual reasons for an increase in your bill. If you are paying for a particularly cold period, you may have used more energy than you’re used to keep the house warm. Otherwise, your tariff may have expired or the energy prices could have increased – you will have been notified of this ahead of time, so check your last bill. If you have eliminated the reasons listed here and you still think you’re paying too much, call the SSE contact number provided here and speak to an agent.
What do I need to do if I’m moving house?
If you’re already an SSE customer, then you need to contact SSE customer care ahead of time if you’re moving house.
You will need to provide a meter reading from your old address on the day you move out and the meter reading of your new property on the day you move in.
Just give the SSE phone number a call and follow the instructions provided.
What are the payment options?
The easiest way to pay is by Direct Debit. This is an automated payment and you will get a disount of £40 per year if you choose this option.
