If you have entered the incorrect information twice, you will need to register again in order to gain access to this service.

Make certain that you’re entering your date of birth in the required format (ddmmyyyy). If you still are having problems online, call RBS helpline and speak to an advisor.

How do I report a damaged, lost or stolen debit or savings card?

If you have registered for Digital Banking, log into your account online and select “Cards” from the menu in the left, under the “Manage your debit card” section, choose “Report your card lost and order a replacement”. Fill out the necessary details and confirm your actions.

It’s better to call the RBS phone number if you think someone has access to your card and PIN and if you have simply lost or damaged your card and don’t have access to Digital Banking, you can call the RBS telephone number on this page and speak to an advisor.

What is the difference between “Available” and “Balance”?

“Balance” is the amount of money that you have in your account at the current moment, while “Available” is the amount you can withdrawal or spend today.
Credit balances, overdrafts and pending payments will affect this.

Can you help me with my card reader?

If your card reader is not working and is new, you will need to enable it first and if your card reader is broken or lost, you can order a new one.

About Royal Bank of Scotland

The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (RBS) is a part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group. RBS has around 700 branches in the UK and is considered a High Street retail bank.

The company was founded in 1727 in order to protect investors’ compensation from a failed “Company of Scotland”. In 1728, The Royal Bank of Scotland invented the overdraft.

The first London RBS opened in 1874 as office headquarters in Scotland saw the rising of London as the world’s financial capital – this provoked a hostile reaction from the English banks at the time, who lobbied government (reference) and it was set into law that Scottish banks wouldn’t open branches in England and visa versa. This was effective up until as recently as the 1960’s.
