Nationwide is a British mutual building society and the largest of it’s kind in the world.

It was founded in 1846 in Northampton Town and later in London. Over the years it has had a few name changes and many (in fact hundreds) of mergers o make it what it is today – namely the second largest provider of household mortgages and savings in the UK as well as over 7% share of current accounts countrywide.
