Many changes to Jet2 bookings can be made by logging in to the ‘Manage My Booking’ page. However, you may need to make changes over the phone in certain circumstances. For example, if you would like to change the booking details of one passenger in a group booking, you may need to talk to a Jet2 customer service agent. Furthermore, if you need to make any last-minute changes, you may need to request these over the phone, rather than via email or your online account.
Jet2, often referred to as Jet2.com, is a low-cost airline headquartered at Leeds Bradford Airport. It has a number of other bases throughout the country, including one at London Stansted Airport and another at Newcastle Airport, as well as one in Alicante-Elche Airport in Spain. The company is parented by Dart Group plc, a West Yorkshire-based holding company. It also runs the subsidiary company Jet2holidays. Founded in 1983 as Channel Express, the company was originally a freight operator, transporting goods in bulk. In 2001, after the company’s acquisition by Dart Group, it began providing passenger flights too. Throughout the 2000s, the company expanded its reach, setting up bases throughout the country and operating scheduled flights to many European destinations.
It now flies to over 50 destinations in Europe and elsewhere, boasting destinations for beach holidays, city breaks, and ski resorts. It also has nine airport bases in the UK and a fleet size of over 70. In 2016, it operated over 40,000 flights and carried more than six million customers. This showed massive growth since 2003, when it operated about 5,500 flights and carried about 600,000 passengers. The company has also won a number of awards, such as the Best Low-Cost Airline – Europe and Best Airline – UK at the 2017 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.
