Where do I send the proof of my “No Claims Discount”?

You can send email this information to Esure customer services via [email protected] – please remember to include your policy number. The attachment document needs to be in PDF format. IF you are being sent this proof by a different company, please ask them to send it in this format – it’s also possible to convert this online.
If you don’t have access to email, you can call the Esure car insurance contact number provided here and speak to an agent about posting your proof in.

How do I make a cancellation?

Please call the Esure telephone number here and speak to an advisor about making a cancellation. You can then be directed to the online cancellation form.

If your cancellation is happening within 14 days, you are benefited by the 14 day “cooling off” period and you will be refunded in full. If you cancel after this, your refund will be based on the time you’ve been covered for.

Can I add a driver to my policy temporarily?

Yes you can. You can add a person to your policy temporarily up to four times a year as long as the total number of days doesn’t exceed 49.

About ESURE

Esure is an insurance provider for the United Kingdom. The company operates online and over the phone and was founded in 2000 by Peter Wood (reference) who also founded Direct Line and Sheilas Wheels.

Their advertising success in the period 2002 – 2005 was largely due to the commercial cameos by Michael Winner and using the catch phrase “Calm down dear, it’s a commercial”.

They have attain the status of one of the UK’s largest motor insurance providers and have an array of travel and home insurance available too.

The strategy for their success is probably their focus on lower risk clients – giving further discounts to people with a “no claims” record and advertising and providing lower premiums for certain lower risk demographics.

They have had their share of criticism with regards to donations to the UK Conservative party and benefiting (perhaps subsequently) from new laws passed by the government regarding business or insurance practices.

The company owns at least 50% of the insurance comparison site “Gocompare.com” – which sparked some alarm as to the fairness of the nature of the comparison site. This was investigated and later dropped.
