You signal could be down. Please check to see if there is down-time in your area. This usually means that the signal will be lost due to some work being done. You can check this by going to the EE website and checking the coverage in your area by inputting your postcode.
If this is not the issue, you should restart your device, then reset your network settings if necessary. Or you can check to see if you’ve paid your last bill.

Why does my bill increase every year if I’m using the same tariff?
The increase in your bill is related to the RPI (Retail Price Index). This is the measure that is calculated by looking at consumer pricing and inflation. This is usually no more than about 1 – 2 % and won’t affect your bill in a significant way. T-Mobile was a mobile network operator based in the United Kingdom and owned by Deutsche Telekom since 1999. Deutsche Telekom struck a deal with Orange UK in 2009 to merger the T-Mobile and Orange brands and rename the new company – EE, making it the UK’s largest mobile network.
The mobile network Mercury One2One was created and launched in 1993 as an introduction to the mobile network market. It was a pioneer in the way that it was the first GSM 1800 network in the world.
They offered both pay-monthly and Pay As You Go options.
In 2009, Deutsche Telekom (who owned T-Mobile) and France Télécom (who owned Orange), made an announcement that they were to merge their businesses in the United Kingdom. EE was started (reference) and slowly and by 2015, T-Mobile was completely phased out until as of February of 2015, no new or existing customer can use the T-Mobile brand.
T-Mobile was not without controversy. In 2009 they were under investigation by Mohit Information Commissioner’s Office for the suspected illegal trade of personal data by some of it’s employees. This was a serious offense that potentially affected millions of customers.
This was admitted by the company, that said that it was a lone employee taking advantage of a security system that should have been more secure.
