Frequently Asked Questions

I don’t understand my first bill.

Your first bill will be sent about 7 days after you have signed up with EE. This is to cover you plan, services, add-ons and mobile device charges. Thereafter you will be sent a bill monthly, depending on the date on which you first signed up.

How can I unlock my handset?

There are a couple of ways to unlock your mobile device. You can call 150 from your mobile phone and follow the instructions, or call the EE telephone number here to speak to an advisor – who will be happy to help you further. Remember that unlocking your phone will cost £8.99 and can take up to 10 days to be unlocked.

You will need to have had your contract for at least 6 months in order to have it unlocked. If you are on Pay As You Go, you can have it unlocked straight away, but you will need to be registered with PAYG.

About EE

EE is the largest mobile network operator in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 2010 as an equal partnership between Deutsche Telekom and Orange S.A – Who were operating in the UK as T-Mobile and Orange, respectively.

EE also provides the EE TV Box and IPTV (Internet Protocol Television). This is a form of file transfer that is known as streaming media – a quicker way to watch media online using less bandwidth.
The original name “Everything Everywhere” was coined in 2010. In November of 2012, they suffered a staff cut-back of 550 staff. In September of 2012, they switched to the brand name “EE” and secured exclusive handset deals over the coming years.

In 2013, EE bagan it’s testing of LTE Advanced and launched this super-fast platform in October 2014.

In February 2016, EE was purchased by the BT Group for 12.5 billion (reference) – from there on the merge of it’s award winning emergency service, it’s business divisions and other sectors has been constant work.
